Product Description

TASTING NOTES
this friend of brunello’s portrays cherries and milk chocolate, perfumed red fruits with an attractive earthy note and typical sangiovese pepperiness.

the 2011 has taken some time to come around in our cellar and has now entered a nice drinking stage. the fruitiness is nicely balanced with the ageing tannin and is very well structured, leading to a fine and elegant finish.

FOOD MATCHES
tuscan white bean soup with it’s subtle but warm earthy flavours. grilled squid with white beans and tomatoes would also work wonderfully. if you are in the mood for pasta, try cheese stuffed ravioli with duck and fennel ragu.

DETAILS
aged for 24 months in a blend of big barrels and small french barrique. this wine has a very good ageing potential.

PRODUCER
talosa is a young producer, founded in 1972. vino nobile di montepulciano has had its ups and downs through the years where about 500 years ago it was at is peak as tuscany’s most sought after wine. somewhere along the way it lost it’s prestige to chianti’s and brunello’s, but is on a definite uprising now.
