ripe dark fruit – dark plum and blackcurrant, with a background of smoke, baked earth and arabic spices with a sharp tang.
on the palate there is abundant plum and blackberry fruit upfront, then quite soft and smooth tannins supported by medium acidity. this is not really a heavy wine but it has a lot of flavour and juicy fruit. there is an appealing touch of bitterness on the finish, like very dark chocolate.

100% negroamaro, a grape native grape variety form puglia. aged in steel and refined in bottle.
torrevento has a large production, but there is still a handcrafted feel to their wines. amongst their main goals is revaluation of the ancient and traditional grape varieties of puglia, such as nero di troia and bombino nero. they care about our planet too, and all their wines are biological.
