juicy, fruity and elegant. winner of the coveted 3 bicker award at a very affordable price. this wine has aromatic red fruits with hints of roasted coffee beans and polished wood. think of a slice of toast topped with mulberry jam in a coffee shop.
the taste of the wine is really juicy fruit all the way through, but it doesn’t head off into sweetness though. the soft tannins and medium acidity keep it all together.
it works really well with white lasagne dishes. if you don’t know it yet, check out the classic dish ‘pasta e ceci’ with chickpeas, garlic and rosemary. that’s a match.
a blend of nero di troia and aglianico. the wine has only seen steel, 6 months, followed up with a bottle refinement before release. the vines are grown in high altitude, with warm sunny days an cooler nights.
torrevento has a large production, but there is still a handcrafted feel to their wines. amongst their main goals is revaluation of the ancient and traditional grape varieties of puglia, such as nero di troia and bombino nero. they care about our planet too, and all their wines are biological.
